About Us

Within Digital Development, we drive digitalization and innovation as an enabler for the entire Energy Distribution. With data, analytics, and AI as our foundation, we create digital solutions that strengthen our core processes, improve customer experience, and contribute to a more sustainable energy system. The department consists of three teams – Data Analytics, Data Management, and Digital Services & Experience – that work cross-functionally within the organization to implement tools and methods that enable data-driven decision-making. Together, we develop and deploy value-creating data and AI models, ensure that data is accessible and quality-assured, and build smart digital solutions that simplify everyday life for both customers and external users.

We are now strengthening our team with a Group Manager in Data Analytics who wants to lead people, technology, and innovation – and be part of driving E.ON's continued journey in data and AI.

Your Role

As a Group Manager in Data Analytics, you will have a central role in leading and developing our dedicated team of Data Scientists, who make data and AI a driving force for innovation and value creation within E.ON. The team is our expert function in advanced analytics and AI, tasked with helping the business extract the full value of our data.

You and your team are involved early as sparring partners in projects of both strategic and operational nature, to highlight the opportunities with data and AI. New application areas are continuously identified, and algorithms are developed to ensure stable operations. Together, you deliver and deploy reliable AI models that create concrete business value. By inspiring and guiding the use of AI and analytics, you contribute to the organization making better decisions using code and data exploration that opens up new insights. The role also includes close collaboration with international colleagues and networks, where experiences, code, and solutions are shared to enable scalable and sustainable initiatives.

You will be part of the management team for Digital Development alongside group managers for Data Management and Digital Services & Experience, where you collectively drive digital development forward.

Who are we hoping will become our new leader?

To succeed and thrive in this role, we are looking for someone who is passionate about turning the opportunities with data and AI into real value for the business. You bring insights and experiences from roles related to data, IT, and business development, and you are confident in a leadership role with the ability to create motivation and engagement in your team. You have a relevant university degree and have worked in environments where technology, business, and change intersect – preferably in larger organizations and in collaboration with many stakeholders.

As a leader, you have the ability to create trust and engagement. You lead with a coaching approach, provide clear direction, and are willing to have the necessary conversations while building an inclusive culture where people grow. Your communication skills are a strength – you enable solutions through constructive dialogue, create mutual understanding, and balance this with clear and humble expectations. You see the big picture and can identify development opportunities while driving change in collaboration with others. You lead with passion and are committed to developing our business in digitalization, business acumen, and customer focus. We also hope that you share our belief that through courage, curiosity, and collaboration, we can deliver what sometimes seems impossible.
